IMPORTANCE OF MOTIVATION FOR KIDS
Talking about motivating kids or any individual to achieve their desired is very crucial in one’s life. Parents who are truly parents help their children eliminate their character defects and instil good characteristics in them. Today's parents, however, see their main obligation as buying expensive clothes and food for their children and paying high coaching fees. Children become desirous of only worldly pleasures when these things are presented to them. They are weakened by these pleasures. To ensure their children receive a true education, parents have to reflect on their behaviour. Children must be taught good traits to lead a fulfilling life, and parents should help them achieve this.If you aren't motivated, you won't be able to accomplish anything. A life skill that is crucial to success is motivation. We all have a unique purpose on this earth, so it's important to make sure everyone knows that. In order to steward your purpose well, you need motivation, which keeps you working towards the goals that enable you to achieve your dreams.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MOTIVATION?
What makes motivation so important? What are the reasons for people's desires, and why does it matter to us? We can benefit from it since it can make our lives better.
Human nature can be better understood by understanding motivation. By determining the reason for our behaviour, we explain the reasons why we set goals, strive for achievement, desire power, and why we feel fear, anger, and compassion.
It is useful to understand motivation because it enables us to understand where it comes from, why it changes, what influences it, and which aspects are subject to change, as well as why some kinds of motivation are more beneficial than others. A sense of purpose or a sense of improved performance can be enabled through motivation, as they reflect something unique about each of us. The motivational process involves modifying the way we think, feel, and behave.
MOTIVATING YOURSELF IS IMPORTANT, BUT WHY?
Motivating oneself to learn is the most basic definition of motivation. As a result, it affects the likelihood of students giving up or pushing forward, as well as how thoughtfully they will reflect upon their learning. Students are more likely to reject easy answers to complex questions if they have a deep motivation for pursuing the activity. The ability to think critically is cultivated through intrinsic motivation. Alternatively, extrinsic motivation and motivation caused by extrinsic gratification are unproductive and lead to academic failure.
- Creative thinking and motivation go hand in hand
Intrinsically motivated students approach learning as if it were a game. Therefore, they are more likely to see something from a new perspective and flip it right side up. Unmotivated students do not tend to have greater intelligence, but their need to solve a problem or learn a new concept keeps them on their toes. Motivational students will deviate from classroom thinking because teachers or grades are not the underlying forces that drive their pursuit of knowledge. As a result, motivated students will have deeper and more thought-provoking questions, since they will be thinking longer and harder. The reason why motivated students tend to reflect on underlying causes or frameworks is that they tend to apply content learned to new situations more easily.
- Self-assurance and resilience are fostered by motivation
The cognitive and emotional energy that students have to focus on their social impression is reduced when they are truly engaged in a task. In intrinsically motivating activities, individuals tend to become less self-conscious and less stressed for the duration of the activity. Motivation is also essential to helping students recover emotionally after a poor mark on a test or harsh criticism from a teacher or peer. Motivated students are less likely to disengage in such situations because they do not fear failure or criticism. As a result, even driven students feel the demotivating effects of negative feedback to a lesser extent, even if they are not referred to as bad feedback.
- Driven by motivation and self-awareness
One can define agency simply as a sense of purpose and independence in pursuing one's goals. Students who are more motivated to reach a goal, consequently, make a stronger connection between motivation and agency. As a result, they direct their energy with greater purpose towards achieving their goal. Often, highly motivated students are independent learners who are sceptical about the limits set by others when it comes to attaining academic success. The professionals among us also tend to be open to new ideas and challenges and are never afraid to try new approaches and approaches in order to push themselves further.
- Enhance your sense of self-efficacy
A student whose academic self-confidence is low will find it difficult to motivate herself. By presenting optimal challenges, we increase our sense of competence. Students often refer to these challenges as 'just right' challenges since they are equally challenging and easy enough for them to be able to follow along with the teacher while remaining difficult. Students are gradually deprived of structured support as they practice this new skill or concept.
CARDINAL WARRIORS
A major priority of our school is to ensure that both teachers and students feel positive and comfortable here. Additionally, we continually strive to ensure that a high level of respect and thoughtfulness are exhibited by students and teaching staff towards each other as well as toward school facilities and visitors to the school, not only on school property but also on school-sponsored excursions and field trips as well.
